WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has accomplished a lot during his time in WWE, having a remarkable rookie year and going on to become a legend in the business. He used to work as a producer a few years ago but got released in the end. Now Angle regrets not being more passionate about the role.

Angle worked as a producer in WWE but he was released back in April 2020, in what was the company’s biggest mass exodus so far. Angle wasn’t able to work as a producer for too long and fans were shocked he was let go.

While speaking on his Kurt Angle Show podcast, Kurt Angle reflected on his time as a producer in the company. Angle admitted that he regrets not being more passionate about the role and taking it seriously.

“Yes, [Mark Carano] called me. ‘Hey, we’re going to let you go.’ Actually, I wasn’t that into my job. I was a producer. I was killing time. I knew that if they were going to do cuts, I would be the first one let go because they were paying me a lot of money, more money than other producers. I knew that if they were going to do cuts and they were going to let go of someone, I’d be the first. I didn’t put much into it, I really didn’t. I should have been a lot more passionate about it.”

Kurt Angle also wasn’t surprised Vince McMahon fired him from the producer role. Kurt Angle also regretted not having huge merchandise sales like Steve Austin and John Cena. Regardless, we will have to wait and see what’s next in store for Angle.
