Carlito Discloses Who Was Responsible For His WWE Backlash Return

Carlito was one of better known WWE Superstars during his time in the company, where he won championship gold a few times. Following his WWE release, he returned to the company only a few times in the last decade – with his Backlash return being the most well-received one. That said, Carlito has now disclosed who was responsible for his return at WWE Backlash.

Carlito returned during Bad Bunny and Damian Priest’s San Juan Street Fight at the Backlash Premium Live Event. The pro wrestling veteran came out to even the odds after The Judgment Day interfered in the match.

While speaking on the Ringer Wrestling Show, Carlito revealed that Bad Bunny was the one who pitched the idea of him returning at Backlash as the rapper is a huge fan.

“Bad Bunny is a fan. I think he was a fan of mine growing up. One of his ideas was he thought it’d be a great idea for me to be a part of it. You know, of course being in Puerto Rico, you know, it just made perfect sense.”

Carlito also returned as a full-time star during WWE Fastlane last week. He even competed in his first full-length match in over two years recently after his WWE return. We’ll have to see how Carlito will fare in his current stint with WWE.
