WWE and AEW wrapped up another week of live events and television shows. We already covered how everything turned out on Tuesday for NXT and AEW Dynamite’s battle, and how Tony Khan responded. Now, we have a better breakdown of the attendance numbers for the week.
WrestleTix has compiled attendance figures for this week’s WWE and AEW television shows. SmackDown stands out as the most attended, while Dynamite recorded the lowest attendance.
This week’s attendance figures saw WWE Raw sell 9,155 tickets at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, NE. AEW Dynamite, which took place at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri, had 3,621 tickets sold.
WWE SmackDown at BOK Center in Tulsa, OK, saw the highest attendance with 10,786 tickets sold. Meanwhile, AEW Collision at Maverik Center in Toledo, OH, recorded 4,387 tickets sold, although it’s important to note that this may not represent the final count.
AEW even ran a big discount code for Collision, where tickets were $10. That being said, fans reported on social media that, with Ticket Master fees, those tickets were still around $40 each.
We will have to see how things pan out for both companies, because some fans may argue that they are going in opposite directions. WWE is booming, as they boast record-breaking numbers nearly every week. Meanwhile, AEW continues seeing embarrassing crowd photos leak after every show.
