WWE is the dream for a lot of wrestlers all over the world, but it isn’t for everyone. The Dyad left WWE NXT, while they were in the middle of a featured storyline and a stable, The Schism. Now, they are Grizzled Young Veterans once again, and they are back in the ring.

Two former stars have made their initial appearance after leaving WWE. Zack Gibson and James Drake, known as The Grizzled Young Veterans, became free agents when their contracts expired on October 14th.

During their time in WWE, the duo, former NXT UK Tag Team Champions, had notable roles in both NXT and NXT UK. They collaborated with Joe Gacy to establish the Schism in 2022, and Ava joined the faction later on.

On October 15th at DPW Live 15, The Grizzled Young Veterans emerged for their first appearance following their WWE departure. They responded to the open challenge issued by DPW Tag Team Champions The Workhorsemen, JD Drake and Anthony Henry. The former NXT stars won the Proving Ground Challenge and earned a future opportunity to vie for the DPW Tag Team Championships.
