Lana and Rusev made quite a mark in WWE, but they are now both in AEW as Miro and CJ Perry. That begs the question regarding whether everything will be the same regarding Perry’s in-ring status.
CJ Perry had a chance to mix it up in the ring for WWE on many occasions. She is just getting started in AEW, but so far she is concentrating her interests in managing.
While speaking to Sean Sapp of Fightful, CJ Perry was shocked to hear exactly how many matches she had in WWE. When asked if she would want to wrestle, the paraphrased notes from the interview didn’t indicate that was in the former Ravishing Russian’s agenda.
“Sean informed CJ that she had over 230 matches in the WWE, which CJ was shocked to hear. Sean asked CJ if she planned on getting in the ring to wrestle at AEW. CJ said she wants to help make champions and is launching a management company and scouting. CJ was non-committal to wrestling.”
Miro has a match on AEW Collision next week against Action Andretti. This contest was booked after Andretti showed interest in having CJ Perry as his manager. Only time will tell how this all pans out for the married couple, who are now together once again on Tony Khan’s roster.
