WWE is seeing a booming period for the company, and there is no denying that. They are breaking records all the time, and that is evident by the big numbers they keep boasting after they leave any major market at this point. Following the TKO merger, the company is also seeing a big change in who is calling the shots on television.
It was previously reported that word backstage in WWE is that Triple H has been “knighted by Endeavor.” The company is now moving with 99.9% of those shots being called by Triple H, and Vince McMahon is no longer a part of the process.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that WWE has a new creative hierarchy. Triple H is at the top, and in a departure from tradition, Vince McMahon is no longer a part of the process.
“Regarding the creative process, right now Paul Levesque is the person in charge. He’s the one making all the key decisions. Bruce Prichard is a conduit between creative, talent relations and talent services. Ed Koskey is the operations person who keeps the scripts flowing. At the moment, Vince McMahon is out of the creative process, but it was stressed to me the term “at the moment.” McMahon is still the person in charge of the company with the most power, but Levesque is running creative, and Nick Khan is making the business moves.”
WWE has seen a lot of changes, and now we have a new company with a refreshed creative direction. Only time will tell what happens next, but Triple H seems to be on the right track as he keeps hitting bullet points with WWE fans.
Vince McMahon led WWE’s creative direction for decades, but nothing can last forever. That being said, now it is Triple H’s turn to pick up the booking and take things in his own vision.
