CM Punk’s AEW firing created a lot of open dates in his schedule. It seems that he is doing his own thing now, but that won’t take him back to WWE. Now, we know exactly why he made the trip to Florida.

We previously noted that CM Punk was spotted in Orlando today. That caught a lot of people by surprise, because that is also the WWE Performance Center’s home. It turns out that he was just around for Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror nights.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that CM Punk was indeed in Orlando this week, but not at the WWE Performance Center. The report went on to say that Punk has a Cage Fury Fighting event in Tampa, so that’s why he made the trip to Florida.

Punk has a Cage Fury Fighting Championship show that he’s set to do commentary on tonight in Tampa.

Ace Steel was also seen with him. Steel now lives in Florida and at one point before his firing was in talks to open a training facility with AEW there.

WWE and CM Punk are not talking, but the fact that he was in Orlando made a lot of fans wonder what was going on. Now, we know that Punk is in Florida for business, but it won’t take him to the WWE Performance Center.

We will keep a close eye on CM Punk’s ongoing situation, and what he may do next in the pro wrestling business, right here at Ringside News. As always, keep checking back for your ongoing pro wrestling needs.
