AEW is trying their best to secure viewership in a very competitive market. Tony Khan is apparently tired of sitting around and not posting every thought he has on social media. Now, he’s at it again with some more heavy accusations.
Tony Khan’s recent social media activity has seen him call WWE higher-ups “bald assholes.” TK took a shot at Shawn Michaels’ booking for NXT. He also had lot to say about Vince McMahon’s controversies. He followed that up by shading The Undertaker and John Cena for not pulling 1 million viewers for the October 10th episode of NXT.
AEW has no approval procedure in place for Tony Khan’s posts on social media. He doesn’t need to get the green light, so those posts are his own.
Tony Khan proved that is he far from finished on X, as he logged onto the social media platform on Friday morning, and he unloaded with two posts. He accused WWE of contract tampering with AEW stars while his mother was having treatment at the Mayo Clinic.
This weekend marks 1 year since @MayoClinic saved my mom’s life. During her ordeal many AEW talent came to me alleging WWE tampering, inducing them to break their contracts. I’ll never forget these phone calls at her side in the hospital; it’s when business became personal for me.
WWE has not publicly responded to this claim of contract tampering from Tony Khan. They are in the middle of an antitrust lawsuit with MLW, so contract tampering is something that they want to stay away from.
