AEW has inked deals with several top stars throughout the pro wrestling world. This includes some former major champions from other companies. Now, Kota Ibushi has confirmed that he is All Elite.
Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega’s partnership is well-known in pro wrestling. Now, they are finally with the same company once again. This explains why Don Callis took a recent shot at Ibushi, as he was involved in some of AEW’s stories, including Blood & Guts.
While speaking to HD Subs in a recent interview translated from Japanese, Kota Ibushi confirmed that he has signed an AEW contract “in a manner of speaking.” He went on to say that he wanted that brutal Blood & Guts match.
“They asked me how we could come to a deal. I said unless it has these conditions, I don’t want to sign a contract. That was the hardcore match, double ring, cage. That’s the day we signed the contract. We had a verbal agreement. I’m based in Japan, and I will travel for the matches. Basically I’m in Japan, I work in Japan. I will be active. There are other things that make the contract even more flexible. Like I could appear for other promotions.”

Kota Ibushi shocked fans when he took a back bump on his own onto a pile of thumbtacks in that Blood & Guts match. Only time will tell what he does next, but Ibushi seems willing to take things to any extreme that Tony Khan needs him for. Only time will tell when he shows up next.
