WWE has a lot of things in the pipeline, and tonight’s SmackDown is shaping up to be a big show. It will mark the season premiere for the blue brand this week, and only time will tell how many newsworthy moments we have when everything is said and done.
WWE has a plan for tonight’s SmackDown that includes Triple H making a big announcement. Roman Reigns will also end his two-month hiatus from WWE television. It appears that we will also see a debut.
PW Insider noted that Nick Aldis, who has been working as a producer for WWE, is set to make his on-screen debut this week. It was not noted what kind of capacity he will be on camera, but this is interesting, since he will be an authority figure.
Former NWA World Champion Nick Aldis will make his official WWE TV debut tonight, PWInsider.com has learned.
Aldis will be portraying an authority figure for the Smackdown brand going forward, which means he’s likely signed with the company.
It is possible this is the Triple H announcement tonight, but we have not confirmed that.
Aldis has been working of late as a Producer for WWE.
Adam Pearce has served as an authority figure in many respects for RAW and SmackDown. With Nick Aldis coming aboard, it is very possible that it will lighten Pearce’s load a bit.
Nick Aldis is a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, much like Adam Pearce, so bringing him into this role could be a good fit. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more.
