Jon Moxley was set to face Fenix for the AEW International Championship during Dynamite’s Title Tuesday episode, but that didn’t happen. Orange Cassidy was picked as Moxley’s replacement, and he won the title. When did AEW really find out that Mox couldn’t compete?

Jon Moxley had to pull out of a Pro Wrestling Revolver show over the weekend. His status for Dynamite was questionable, but he was still promoted for the match against Fenix until the Zero Hour show, when Orange Cassidy was put in his spot as a replacement.

Sean Sapp posted an update about Jon Moxley’s situation behind Fightful’s paywall. It was noted that AEW didn’t find out that Jon Moxley wouldn’t be able to perform on the October 10th episode of Dynamite until early in the afternoon.

“AEW found out early in the afternoon Tuesday that Jon Moxley would not be cleared for his title match against Fenix.”

AEW was able to figure something else out, and that meant Orange Cassidy got another run as International Champion. Only time will tell if he gets to face Moxley when he returns, but Freshly Squeezed was a bit persistent about wanting to pin Jon Moxley eventually.
