Speculation Cleared Up Regarding Saraya’s Possible Injury On 10/10 AEW Dynamite

Saraya lost the AEW Women’s World Title to Hikaru Shida at AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday. This was a big of a shock, and the sudden ending for that match made some fans worry that Saraya was injured. Now we have an update about how the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion is doing.

Sean Sapp provided a bit of a note on Saraya behind Fightful’s paywall. It was noted that, although some fans were concerned, Saraya is not injured. That is simply how Tony Khan booked the match.

Saraya losing the AEW Women’s World Title was a big shock. It also stopped her ongoing title storyline, one that fans thought would go much differently. You never know what Tony Khan will book, but this had nothing to do with an injury.

AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday included two title changes. Not only did Hakaru Shida beat Saraya, but Orange Cassidy also won the AEW International Title from Fenix. That match was actually put together very late, considering when AEW found out that Jon Moxley wouldn’t be cleared to compete.
