Cody Rhodes Opens WWE NXT With Several Special Announcements

WWE NXT kicked off this week with a big announcement from Cody Rhodes. The NXT Arena was pumped to see him, and they knew every word to his entrance music. That was just the beginning.

The crowd chanted “YEET” at Cody Rhodes, and he replied, “yeet” as well. This was, of course, a reference to Jey Uso and his amazing Fastlane press conference.

Then Cody Rhodes got to his announcements, and the crowd was very pumped to hear. Rhodes stated that the men of NXT will have a breakout tournament after the women. Then he made another announcement, one that hit close to home.

Cody Rhodes revealed that the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is coming back. That wasn’t all, because Cody Rhodes also said that he will be the special guest General Manager of NXT for one night.
