Jade Cargill made her big on-screen debut for WWE during the Fastlane kickoff show, and the pro wrestling world took notice. WWE has big plans for Cargill, and that likely meant that they inked a special deal with her as well.
As Ringside News exclusively reported, WWE had the entire creative team pitching ideas for Jade Cargill. Her emergence in WWE took a bit of planning. We went on to exclusively report how much buzz Jade Cargill had around her after that Fastlane appearance.
During his 83 Weeks show, Eric Bischoff spoke about Jade Cargill. He is all for WWE hitting the ground running with her, because she has a ton of abilities. WWE is also treating Jade Cargill differently, because instead of giving her a new name that they own, the company is working with the already established name that her brand represents.
“There’s no trademark issues, but your point is that WWE typically wants to own that name. They want to merchandise that name. So, they’re basically doing a licensing deal with her as opposed to her showing up as a talent, and they own the license, and they own the trademarks. I think that’s very interesting, and that definitely breaks the paradigm. That is not what WWE normally does over the decades, fascinating to me.”
WWE typically likes to own the names of all the talent that they have on their roster. Not only do they get to benefit from it the most, but it also ensures that a talent can’t take that already-established name elsewhere. It seems that WWE saw that Jade Cargill’s name was already established enough thanks to her run in AEW, so they didn’t touch that.
Triple H also said in the media conference after WWE Fastlane that Jade Cargill is going to break WWE wide open. They are preparing her for big things, and it’s anyone’s guess how big her name will be in the company by this time next year.
Ringside News will be here the moment that Jade Cargill makes her next move in WWE. Only time will tell how far she will go in the company, but it appears that WWE is positioning her with all the tools she needs to succeed.
