Seth Rollins is the Visionary of WWE and has done a lot for the business since his debut in the company more than a decade ago. He also became the World Heavyweight Champion a few months ago and he has now set an impressive record following his win at the WWE Fastlane Premium Live Event.
Seth Rollins defeated AJ Styles for the World Heavyweight Title at Night of Champions, becoming the inaugural champion. He has been a workhorse champion since then, defending it very often.
The Visionary defended his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura at WWE Fastlane. After a near-30-minute classic, Rollins would successfully retain his title.
As pointed out by Reddit user u/Roman_Francis, Seth Rollins set a new record as his current reign as the World Heavyweight Champion is the longest inaugural Men’s World Title reign in WWE history at 134 days. It is noted that Rollins beat his own record as the inaugural NXT Champion, which he held for 133 days.
I’m considering the titles created in WWE, so no WCW or ECW titles.
WWE Championship –> 36 days/22 recognized (Buddy Rogers)
Original World Heavyweight Championship –> 76 days (Triple H)
NXT Championship –> 133 days (Seth Rollins)
Universal Championship –> 1 day/<1 recognized (Finn Bálor)
Current World Heavyweight Championship –> 134+ days (Seth Rollins)
Fan footage also showed Seth Rollins safely landing on a mattress during his match at Fastlane. It remains to be seen what WWE has planned for The Visionary, as his feud with Nakamura seems to have come to an end.
