AEW Collision aired their show this week at 7:00 PM EST, an hour before usual, and it started just as the WWE Fastlane kickoff show began. That being said, AEW fans had quite a show, which included a shocking title change. Those who previewed the show on DVR also saw something very interesting in the listing.

AEW has experienced some issues with DVR in recent memory. Those botches on the channel guide could have cost AEW a lot of viewers as well. Collision’s listing was there this week, and the time seemed to be correct, but the list of performers caught some off-guard.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Dax Harwood and Nigel McGuinness’ real names were included on the Collision DirecTV guide listing. This leads Meltzer to believe that someone is “f*cking with” AEW somewhere along the way.

“This week they didn’t go long, so I didn’t have to worry about DVR. The point of it is that when I was watching it, you know that little guide? It said David Harwood and Steve Haworth, and it’s like someone is f*cking with them, okay?”

“David Harwood is Dax Harwood, that’s no big deal, but Steve Haworth, you know who that is, right? Nigel McGuinness. But that’s what it said: David Harwood and Steve Haworth [on the cast listing]. It’s like there is some weird sh*t going on here, and I don’t know, it’s from whoever is at WBD who is sending them the news on the preview of the show. That is so weird.”

It was noted that a lot of fans know David Harwood is his real name, after all fans just read when he filed a trademark for CMFTR under his legal name. The fact that the AEW Collision listing also had Nigel McGuinness’ legal name is very interesting.

“You’re doing publicity for a TV show, and that’s what you’re doing? That is some weird sh*t, that’s all I have to say,” Dave Meltzer concluded as he said that it “shouldn’t be hard to figure out” who is sending that info.
