Damian Priest and Finn Balor teamed up again at Fastlane, where they lost the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Titles. This was a bit of a surprise, which gave Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes a lot of chances to celebrate. That match might not have come together if Damian Priest wasn’t able to get medically cleared for the event.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Damian Priest’s medical clearance issue was not just for the storyline. It was noted that Priest was really not cleared to compete, which is something they had to quickly take care of.

“Sean Sapp noted Damian Priest was legitimately not cleared for Monday. That was quickly rectified and he wrestled Friday.”

It was not noted what Damian Priest needed to get cleared from. Thankfully, they were able to get that issue taken care of, whatever it was.

Damian Priest and Finn Balor were able to lose their titles at Fastlane, which opens a brand-new chapter for those belts. Only time will tell if Damian Priest gets those tag team titles back, but his Money in the Bank briefcase could ensure a much bigger opportunity down the line.
