AEW Collision brought a show this week at 7:00 PM, and they had a lot of competition. WWE had their Fastlane event at the same time, so how many viewers tuned in to watch Collision?

According to Alfred Konuwa, the October 7th episode of AEW Collision drew 333,000 viewers against WWE’s Fastlane event. They even started the show at 7:00 PM EST to get a jump on the Fastlane event. Out of those fans, only 104k were in the treasured 18 to 49 demographic. That was a bit of an increase, but it wasn’t by much.

AEWCollision never had a chance against #WWEFastlane, not even south Edge. See you Tuesday!

AEW kicked off Collision this week with an AEW World Tag Team Title change. Ricky Starks and Big Bill beat FTR in surprising fashion. Now that the dust has settled, we have a bit more information on what went down behind the scenes with that title change.

There is a fan video from AEW Collision that is going around. That video is certainly not something that Tony Khan wanted fans to see, but it also seemed to mirror the lackluster turnout that the show saw in the viewership numbers.

On September 30th, the AEW Collision episode had 304,000 viewers in the national audience and 93,000 viewers aged 18 to 49. This marked a significant decline compared to the previous week, primarily because they went head-to-head with NXT’s No Mercy event.

This is a continued trend for AEW Collision as they try their best to gain a foothold on Saturday nights. This is certainly not an easy task, especially with College Football, WWE, and other competitive organizations all utilizing Saturdays for their own benefit.

What do you think AEW needs to do to improve Collision viewership? Sound off in the comments below to let us know what you think!
