AEW has inked some of the best pro wrestlers around to contracts, and many expect that trend to continue. With Will Ospreay’s contract with NJPW expiring soon, it seems that he has already started to make a transition onto the AEW roster. That being said, nothing is certain until the ink dries on a contract in pro wrestling.

Will Ospreay has been around for a few big AEW events in recent memory. He wrestled Chris Jericho in Wembley Stadium at All In London, and he also competed at WrestleDream. Those are just two notable appearances that Ospreay has enjoyed in the Land of All Elite, but there could be many more to come.

During a recent Q&A behind Fighful’s paywall, Sean Sapp was asked if Will Ospreay signing with AEW is a 100% guarantee. Sapp responded that it’s reasonable to believe that Ospreay is going to AEW, but he also may have backed off the idea that he will never sign with WWE.

“That’s where I think he’ll go, but after speaking to those close to him, as well as him, that his mentality changed a lot from ‘ah you know I don’t wanna go to WWE, etc’ — I think he realizes that this is his big contract. With his style, and he is in his early 30s, he knows this is his big contract.”

AEW may be able to land Will Ospreay to a deal. He made it very clear on the company’s own television show in August that his NJPW deal is up in six months. Only time will tell where he lands next, but this next deal could make him a rich man.
