Former WWE Superstar Persia Pirotta, now known as Steph De Lander, has been making waves in the independent wrestling scene since her WWE release. However, her recent tour in Australia took an unfortunate turn as she suffered a head injury during an indie event and has been forced to withdraw from the remaining tour dates.

Steph De Lander had been actively competing in promotions like Impact Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and Game Changer Wrestling. Her partnership with Matt Cardona on the independent circuit had provided her with exciting opportunities in various promotions and matches.

The incident occurred during Matt Cardona’s WSW World Championship defense against Shawn Spears at World Series Wrestling’s Full Throttle tour. Unfortunately, during the match, Cardona accidentally struck De Lander with the title belt, causing her to fall hard on the concrete floor. This resulted in a significant head injury.

Taking to Twitter, De Lander shared a clip of the unfortunate spot and revealed the nature of her injury. Due to the severity of her condition, doctors have advised her to withdraw from the remainder of the tour. De Lander expressed her apologies to the fans who were looking forward to seeing her perform during the tour.

Unfortunately last night at @WSWWrestlingAUS during the main event, there was a miscommunication and I ended up hitting my head on the concrete floor. Due to the nature of my injury, doctors have pulled me from the remainder of the tour… I will have more updates as they come. So sorry to everyone who was excited to see me this trip 😢

This incident is undoubtedly disappointing for fans who were excited to witness Steph De Lander in action throughout the Australian tour. However, our thoughts are with her for a swift and full recovery so that she can return to doing what she loves most in the world of professional wrestling.
