Bray Wyatt tragically passed away, but his memory has not faded one bit. Wyatt’s creative vision still lives on in the hearts and minds of fans all over. One idea from the mastermind still has a chance to resurfacing, because Uncle Howdy’s return to WWE is not an impossibility.
Bo Dallas, Bray Wyatt’s real-life brother, played Uncle Howdy. That masked character never had much of a chance to evolve on television before Wyatt vanished, and the storyline was left incomplete.
Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the creative team that Triple H “is always open to ideas from the writers, and there are always ideas regarding different talents.” That being said, Triple H has not shut down hearing ideas that would bring Uncle Howdy back to television.
We were told that, “I’m sure someone has” pitched a creative idea to bring Uncle Howdy back into the creative picture. That being said, and idea of Uncle Howdy’s return “is not coming from the top down, it’s coming from pitches.”
Triple H “is open to hearing ideas instead of dictating.” Of course, dictating “always became Vince McMahon’s pattern,” but it’s a new era in WWE right now where ideas flow a bit more freely.
Ringside News exclusively reported in September how far along Bray Wyatt and Uncle Howdy’s plans got. Sadly, Wyatt departed from television on the road to WrestleMania 39 when he was on his way to a match against Bobby Lashley.
Only time will tell if WWE ever brings Uncle Howdy back into the creative fold. There are a few ways that they could do that, but the company also needs to be very careful about this sensitive subject that an angle with Uncle Howdy could bring as well. If anything, at least we know that the idea is not 100% gone at this point, and Triple H is open to hearing any idea right now.
Bray Wyatt is gone, but he will certainly never be forgotten. We can only hope that his memory never fades, because he deserves all the tributes WWE can give him.
