Mercedes Mone is best-known as Sasha Banks, thanks to her run in WWE. She walked out of the company in 2022, and she took her time arriving at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom event. That being said, she may be on her way to AEW.

The former Boss was injured in a NJPW Strong Women’s Title match against Willow Nightingale. That injury was not Willow’s fault, and she won the title instead. That started a long road back to the ring for Mercedes Mone after she suffered an ankle injury.

Mercedes Mone showed up at AEW All In London, where she sat in the crowd. She was wearing a walking boot at the time, which is why she remained seated.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Mercedes Mone is expected to arrive in AEW soon enough. That could happen as soon as she is medically cleared.

“Mercedes Mone is now out of her walking boot. She’s still kept her timetable quiet about returning to wrestling. The expectation, given they showed her at All In in the crowd more than once, is that she would be working here and with New Japan and/or Stardom.”

Mercedes Mone was quite coy when speaking about a possible AEW Full Gear. Only time will tell if she gets cleared by then, but the event will go down on Sunday, November 18th, from The Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
