Samantha Irvin, who made the transition from pursuing a wrestling career to becoming an announcer in WWE, recently sat down for an interview with Chris Van Vliet. In the interview, she discussed her journey to WWE and shared insights into her experiences, including a notable moment involving her fiancé, Ricochet, during SummerSlam.
One of the highlights from the interview was Irvin’s candid response to Ricochet’s SummerSlam match against Logan Paul.
Samantha revealed that she was not happy with the situation and the camera being on her while it happened. She described her shock and the unique experience of witnessing her fiancé being assaulted with brass knuckles.
Despite the unexpected turn of events, Irvin emphasized her determination to continue with her announcing duties.
“I was not happy and definitely not happy to have a camera in my face while he’s saying that to me. So not my favorite, and it’s crazy because it’s such a replayed moment. It’s like the wackest moment that I’ve had, but you know it’s fine. No matter what, I was gonna get the announcement off, no matter what, but I was obviously in shock. I have not seen anyone assault my fiance with brass knuckles before so that was a first.”
