RVD Hopes Matt Riddle Will Stop Sending Out Racy Photos After His WWE Release

Matt Riddle was released from WWE, and that was a big shock. His name was announced a day after the rest of the cuts, which meant his firing was different. It had nothing to do with the planned cuts, because the Original Bro had simply burned all of his chances with WWE.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Matt Riddle was released after over two dozen incidents that caused heat on him. The former tag team champion was released, and there were never plans for an RKBro reunion either.

During the One of the Kind podcast, RVD spoke about Matt Riddle’s WWE release for a bit. He revealed that they hung out at the Playboy mansion a few years ago, and they apparently had quite a time at the Medical Marijuana Policy Project fundraiser.

RVD then went on to provide a little advice for Matt Riddle. He said that if the Original Bro would quit sending NSFW photos, then his problems would be minimized. After all, the WWE Hall of Famer thinks Riddle will get another chance in WWE eventually.

“I met Matt Riddle at the Playboy Mansion at a party years ago after the Ultimate Fighter. This was a Medical Marijuana Policy Project fundraiser, which they used to have annually at the Playboy Mansion, and then eventually Hugh quit having parties at the mansion from outsiders and then it just went all downhill after that, but that’s where I had met him so a lot of people think that’s a pretty cool story and he seems to not be able to stay out of trouble.”

“He’ll get another chance I’m sure, but I feel like he got so many chances that they felt like they’re not going to be taken seriously unless some consequences are shown. I think they’ll be temporary and that could be by the Universe, not necessarily by the company, but he’ll definitely go somewhere productive from here and hopefully he’ll quit sending d*ck pics or whatever it is that he’s doing on his off time that gives him so much heat.”

Matt Riddle got heat for going off-script during a promo on RAW, but that wasn’t all. He had a lot of personal issues that became public controversies as well.

The King of Bros’ ex-girlfriend dropped a post that said she had “tears of joy” after Riddle’s release. Of course, this prompted Misha Montana to tear into Riddle’s ex. We also can’t forget the controversy surrounding his leaked sex tape. That also wasn’t a good look for the Original Bro.

Right before Matt Riddle was fired, he was involved in a chaotic situation at JFK Airport, one where he claimed an officer sexually assaulted him. As Ringside News exclusively reported, multiple attempts were made to de-escalate the situation with Matt Riddle before things got physical. It was also told to us that Matt Riddle appeared to be intoxicated at the time.

Only time will tell what Matt Riddle does next. He may reunite with RVD again someday, but it might not be in WWE unless something drastic changes with the Original Bro’s employment status.
