Fans were excited about the fact that Adam Copeland had a chance of debuting in AEW after reports of his WWE contract expiring dominated the news. It turned out to be true as the Rated R Superstar made his AEW debut during WrestleDream last week. His iconic entrance also included a slightly altered line, which was voiced by Beth Phoenix.

Adam Copeland’s AEW debut blew up the pro wrestling world at WrestleDream. Everyone lost their collective minds when the former Edge’s theme song began. That said, the theme began with ‘You think you know him’ and had a distinctly different female voice compared to his WWE version of ‘Metalingus.’

According to Bleacher Reporter’s Chris Mueller, Beth Phoenix was the voice at the beginning of Adam Copeland’s AEW entrance. It was further added that Copeland and Phoenix recorded the clip themselves. Mueller also previously noted that he met up with Copeland following AEW WrestleDream and included a voice note of a conversation he had with Copeland.

🚨SHOUTOUT ALERT🚨 I was fortunate enough to speak with Adam Copeland today following his debut at #WrestleDream and since he is a big fan of creativity and positivity, it only felt right to have him give @ShiningPolaris a shoutout. Maybe we get a crochet Adam and Beth soon?

I don’t know if this counts as breaking news or whatever, but I was able to confirm with him today that not only is the voice at the beginning of Adam Copeland’s AEW entrance music that of Beth Phoenix, but that it was Edge and Beth who recorded the clip themselves.

The WWE Hall of Famer is under full-time contract with AEW. Adam Copeland’s first AEW match has also been unveiled. It remains to be seen how the Rated R Superstar will fare in AEW now that he is officially All Elite.
