In a surprising turn of events, former WWE superstar Adam Copeland, famously known as Edge, made his debut in AEW at AEW WrestleDream. This significant move has prompted WWE to update its intro video to reflect the departure of Copeland.

Copeland’s last appearance in WWE’s intro reel was at NXT No Mercy, which took place on September 30. However, his debut with AEW on October 1 marked a new chapter in his wrestling career. Tony Khan, the president of AEW, confirmed that Copeland is now a full-time member of the AEW roster and will be wrestling regularly on their programming.

Explaining his decision to join AEW after his long tenure with WWE, Copeland stated, “I wanted to do more. They didn’t have much more for me to do. Simple as that. And that’s okay. I’ll still be watching and still be supporting all of my friends there.”

The update to WWE’s intro video was noticeable as Edge was replaced by Seth Rollins. This change occurred after NXT No Mercy, with the revised opening being used on the October 2nd episode of WWE RAW.
