The Authors Of Pain was released by WWE back in 2020 and Ringside News had an exclusive report on the backstage reactions after their release from Vince McMahon’s company. Reports have then suggested they are already hired and are waiting for Creative plans and now it appears a WWE Champion called them out amid rumors of The Authors of Pain’s return.
Reports suggested that WWE had an interest in bringing Akam and Rezar a few months ago, but no further updates were given. Ringside News then confirmed that the Authors of Pain have signed with the company.
The NXT tag team division was given a lot of focus at No Mercy last week, where Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo defended their titles in a four-way match. After their win, Stacks took to Twitter to ask who their next challengers could be.
One fan took to Twitter and mentioned that the Authors of Pain could be their next challengers. Stacks replied to the fan, calling out the former NXT Tag Team Champions.
Don’t know the deal with these guys. Don’t get the hype either.
But, we’re open for business if they want some action.
Ringside News exclusively reported that there have been discussions for the Authors of Pain but no concrete plans as of yet. We’ll have to see when the duo will return to WWE television.
