The Rock has a lot of power in this world, and a ton of influence as well. Dwayne Johnson’s voice is even recognizable, and even people with shady intentions realize this.
We live in a world where you have to question everything. Just because you hear The Rock’s voice endorse a product doesn’t mean it’s legit. It appears that happened recently, as a company may be using desperation for wealth to garner some easy clicks thanks to The Rock’s likeness.
There is a new ad floating around social media that is using an AI generated voice of The Rock to promise people free money. This shady ad promises over $5k, and all you have to do is click their link and answer some questions.
There is no such thing as free money, so keep that in mind. The saying that “if it seems too good to be true, then it probably is,” is also applicable. This ad was interlaced with video of The Rock (that did not sync up with the words he was supposedly saying) and people doing things with money. They also used a WWE clip of a superkick when the artificial intelligence version of The Great One said, “here’s the kicker.”
We can only hope that this ad doesn’t rope in too many people. It’s pretty obvious to spot that it’s not authentically Dwayne Johnson if you know what to look for. That won’t stop the lowest common denominator fan of The Rock among us to click that link anyway and take all the risks involved.
You can check out that ad below, one that promises free money from the government thanks to The Rock. For more details, you can keep checking back with us here at Ringside News.
