The world of professional wrestling can be a very hard and cutthroat place, whether it is in a big promotion or the independent circuit. One notable Impact Wrestling star recently pulled out of a match at an indie event after suffering an anxiety attack.
Killer Kelly has been part of Impact Wrestling for almost three years now, where she began her career in the company in pursuit of the Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championships.
Killer Kelly took to Twitter and announced that she heard some distressing news right before her match at a Midwest All-Star Wrestling event. Kelly revealed that she suffered an anxiety attack and couldn’t stop crying, which is why Kelly decided to pull out of her match and offered apologies for the same.
I read some stuff online that made me really sad, so I had to explain what happened at @MW_AllStar.
Yesterday, right before my match, I got some terrifying news that sent me through a spiral and had an anxiety attack. I couldn’t think straight and stop crying.
I had to make the tough decision to not wrestle a full match because I couldn’t risk mine and most importantly @LaynieLuck health. God forbid something happening… I literally couldn’t think. She was great and very supportive, and I’m very thankful for her 🖤
I’m so sorry to the fans that went to the show to see me. I was legit suffering backstage and hope you understand why that wasn’t possible. I was battling inside and really wanted to go out there and have a great match but just couldn’t physically and mentally. I apologize.
And lastly I want to thank @MW_AllStar for being so kind to me yesterday. They didn’t have to, but they were. I really appreciate how David handled stuff. Very thankful.
I promise I’ll be back to make up for everything 🖤
Killer Kelly is one-half of the Knockouts Tag Team Champions alongside Masa Slamovich. We certainly hope Kelly will be able to recover from her distressful situation, as we here at Ringside News send our best to her.
