AEW released CM Punk from his contract, but it appears that fans aren’t done buying his merchandise. The Second City Savior is still apparently raking in the sales in AEW’s official shop.
Wrestlenomics noted that CM Punk is still the #2 most popular category on the AEW Shop, despite his release. The #1 entry went to the company itself, as fans ordered AEW branded merchandise.
Keep in mind that it was noted that these rankings are approximations derived from certain factors. We are assuming that the sequence of top sellers on these websites accurately represents their sales. It’s plausible that an automated procedure influences the arrangement of these listings, although it’s also conceivable that the order might be manually adjusted.
Adam Copeland’s debut with the company last night saw a brand-new t-shirt as well. It’s reasonable to believe that the Rated R Superstar will make his way to the top of that list by next week.
CM Punk might not be done with pro wrestling, and it appears to be his call at this point where he goes. Impact Wrestling is very interested in signing CM Punk. The NWA is also an interesting option. Of course, Shawn Michaels also stated that he would welcome CM Punk in NXT if the higher-ups in WWE would agree to sign him.
