During the WrestleDream press conference, Bryan Danielson was asked about his backstage role with AEW Collision. Danielson said that he speaks to Tony Khan a lot about things, but he has no official role.
“My role on Collision, I mean me and Tony talk about it a lot, but there is no official role there. I try to watch everything that I can. Especially, because we’ll stay after Collision to watch all the matches, and I like to watch the ROH matches, because we’ll see a lot of, I wanna know who within the umbrella of our company is doing good, and I like to see what independent talent we’re bringing on, I like to see who’s — cause sometimes I see people.”
Vince McMahon wanted Bryan Danielson on the WWE creative team. In fact, Ringside News exclusively reported in March 2021 that “Daniel Bryan’s writing is just one of many people who make suggestions.” In reality, “he gets shot down more than most write.” That being said, he was a part of the team on the SmackDown brand.
We will have to see how things pan out for Bryan Danielson in AEW from this point on. He is certainly excited about what the company has to offer, and he likes to keep an eye on everything that the company has to offer.
