During the media scrum after WrestleDream, Adam Copeland explained why he wanted to go to AEW. It was about working with younger talent and that is something he cares about a lot.

“I wanted to help, and I just felt like here I’d really be able to do that and have the opportunity to do that, and I look at this roster full of fresh faces, and many of them I have never laid hands on before and that to me, as a person who is driven by challenges, that for me, was the biggest thing.”

Adam Copeland said he’s never had a match with Samoa Joe before. He has also never stood in a ring with Sting before AEW WrestleDream. Copeland also said, “I felt free, and it felt fun,” after his debut. He said his debut gave him the same feeling that he had during indie shows prior to his WWE run.

Now, Adam Copeland is in AEW, and he is seizing the opportunity. He won’t just be around every three months. He will be around every week, and he’s happy to do it. Tony Khan then made it clear that Adam Copeland will be on Dynamite and Collision next week.
