AEW WrestleDream kicked off with three successful title defenses in a row. The Trios Titles, ROH Tag Team Titles, and ROH World Championship and Strong Openweight Championship all remained with their previous holders. Then the TBS Championship came around as Julia Hart went for Kris Statlander’s title.
Julia Hart was on a roll going into WrestleDream, as she rolled on with a 28-match winning streak in AEW. She did lose a few matches, but they were outside Tony Khan’s company. Kris Statlander also has an impressive record under her belt, including two victories over Jade Cargill as she made her way out of the company.
Hart’s last recorded loss in AEW was said to be against Kris Statlander on AEW Dark: Elevation #60 on April 20th, 2022. That added a bit more history to this match.
In the end, Kris Statlander beat Julia Hart with two piledriver moves. This was a big win in Seattle, but it was quite an effort from both competitors.
