WWE has their eye on the entire pro wrestling world, and it is apparent that they aren’t afraid to lay down contracts when they want certain talent. Just because someone inks a contract doesn’t mean they will hop right on television, because plans must be in order first.

It was reported that Authors of Pain were secretly signed to WWE deals, but fans are still waiting to see them. It appears that the company is still trying to nail down a good idea for the former champions.

Ringside News spoke to a tenured member of the WWE creative team about AOP and Paul Ellering. We have confirmed that they have signed with the company. However, “there have been discussions, but nothing has been decided yet.”

Paul Ellering was spotted with the AOP in early September as well, but they didn’t appear on NXT television, despite bring around for a taping. It was expected that Ellering and Authors of Pain would be reunited on television. That being said, no plans have been 100% decided just yet for them.

We’ll have to see when AOP makes their return to WWE television. They certainly made a lot of noise during their run in NXT, but their main roster momentum couldn’t quite get the same traction after Vince McMahon swapped out Paul Ellering for Drake Maverick.

It appears that they are going with Paul Ellering this time around as the Authors of Pain’s manager. This should make fans very happy, especially those who remember Akam and Rezar’s outstanding run in Triple H’s version of NXT.
