MJF considers himself a generational talent, and he clearly has many ways to back up his claims as his stock continues to rise every week. For a long time, MJF has been compared to The Miz but those comparisons have slowly died now. Lately, WWE Superstar Grayson Waller has been compared to MJF instead and now it appears MJF decided to dismiss the idea that Waller copies him.
The Salt of The Earth is truly dedicated to his craft and never breaks character no matter what, whether it is inside or outside the ring. Many fans feel MJF is one of the greatest characters in pro wrestling and others take inspiration from him.
Grayson Waller is one of the rising stars in WWE right now thanks to his cocky heel persona, which some fans feel is similar to MJF. While speaking to Wrestle Purists, MJF dismissed the idea that Grayson Waller copies him and pointed out how fans are utterly wrong.
”I feel bad for Grayson Waller. Because I get f***** tagged. ‘Yo Grayson Waller is just trying to be MJF.’ Like, f***** hell he is. Do you see me wrestling in f***** basketball shorts. Do I have a f****** accent? Am I 6’2”? No.
Again, it’s not the fan’ fault. There’s a wrestler that makes you feel something that throughout the avenue of talking, right? ‘Oh f*** who else makes you feel something that throughout the avenue of talking? MJF. Aw, you been copying MJF!’
No he’s not you f***** idiot. Like we’re just focused in character.”
Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE sees Grayson Waller as a huge future talent as well. Regardless, there is certainly a degree of respect from MJF for Waller’s work and that’s all that matters.
What’s your view on what MJF said? Do you feel Grayson Waller is copying MJF? Let us know in the comments!
