Ilja Dragunov Wins NXT Title At No Mercy

Carmelo Hayes is “HIM,” and he proved that in NXT. His reign as NXT Champion was an impressive one, but it ended at No Mercy.

Ilja Dragunov is one of the most passionate and intense Superstars that WWE has ever seen. He took on Carmelo Hayes at NXT No Mercy in a match that was the second-to-last contest on the card.

This was a hard-hitting contest, and it could have gone either way. That being said, Carmelo Hayes couldn’t pin Ilja Dragunov to the canvas for a three count.

In the end, Ilja Dragunov got the win over Carmelo Hayes in Bakersfield. This was an incredible match and the crowd was chanting for more throughout the contest.

We will have to see how Ilja Dragunov fares as NXT Champion. It will be very interesting to see what is next for Carmelo Hayes as well, because Trick Williams picked up the NXT North American Title previously in the night.
