As Ringside News exclusively reported, multiple attempts were made to de-escalate the situation with Matt Riddle before things got physical at JKF Airport. It was also told to us that Matt Riddle appeared to be “heavily intoxicated” at the time.”
Matt Riddle officially confirmed his exitfrom WWE last week, and he almost immediately got interest from other wrestling promotions after his release. His release remains a major topic of discussion even now.
While speaking on the latest episode of Story Time with Dutch Mantell, Dutch Mantell talked about Matt Riddle’s WWE release and made it clear that he was genuinely glad WWE cut ties with Riddle.
“I’m glad WWE kinda, again, I’m not glad he lost his job. But I am glad the WWE said, ‘Hey man, we’ve given you every chance in the book. It’s just not gonna work out. You’re more trouble than you’re worth.’ And they told him and let him go.”
