Nia Jax returned to WWE, and she set her signs on Rhea Ripley. WWE used that beatdown from the Irresistible Force to The Nightmare to give the WWE Women’s World Champion a couple of weeks off for a vacation. Now, we will have to wait for her next move.

Dominik Mysterio and the Judgment Day have kept Rhea Ripley’s name alive since she’s been off television. She’s going to make a return, but Fastlane might not be in the cards for her at this juncture.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that, although it may be expected, WWE might not book Nia Jax vs Rhea Ripley at the October 7th event.

“Other clear directions are Rhea Ripley vs. Nia Jax for the world women’s title, although that may not be on this show, while WWE women’s champion Iyo Sky seems to have Charlotte Flair or a three-way with Asuka and Flair on the horizon. Gunther vs. Tommaso Ciampa also looks to be on this show. The Gainbridge Fieldhouse is sold out with 11,548 tickets.”

WWE has a lot of plans in the pipeline, and bringing back Nia Jax was certainly a bold move. It also sparked a conversation within the fan base about how wise of a call that was.

Only time will tell how things pan out for Nia Jax’s next run in WWE. It seems that the company has plans for her to take a ride to the top of the roster, where she will face Rhea Ripley. That being said, Fastlane might not be that match’s landing pad.
