Shinsuke Nakamura has been with WWE since 2016, but he still has a ton of fans in Japan. The timing of the fact that Nakamura has a last man standing match against Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at Fastlane is very interesting right now.

It was just reported that WWE has a new television deal in Japan. WWE SmackDown and WWE Raw will air on ABEMA in Japan starting on October 3rd. This will be a big deal for Japanese fans, and it may bring WWE to even more eyes overseas.

The company’s new television partner released some new advertisements for the deal. Those graphics were very interesting when you look at the Superstars that they placed in the image, and their placement as well.

Shinsuke Nakamura is featured in a key position on the WWE RAW graphic, compared only to Roman Reigns’ placement on the SmackDown graphic. This is very interesting, because he is set to get a World Heavyweight Championship shot at Fastlane.

WWE gave Jinder Mahal the title years ago when they were moving further into the Indian market. It is plausible to assume that WWE may put the title on Shinsuke Nakamura for this very reason. If anything, it would give Triple H a reason to finally make Shinsuke Nakamura champion.

The poster also features Akira Tozawa, Karl Anderson, AJ Styles, IYO Sky, Asuka, and others who Japanese fans may remember from their work in the country. The face that Shinsuke Nakamura is over 2x larger than Seth Rollins on the graphic is very interesting.

WWE is writing an injury angle for Seth Rollins, and it is somewhat legit. Ringside News exclusively reported that Rollins’ back injury angle is a “semi-real” situation. Hopefully, he doesn’t have to take much time off from the ring if that is necessary.
