WWE holds weekly live television shows, and you never know what can happen when there is no chance for re-shoots. The company has to make it work the first time, and that can also call for a change of plans. That being said, not all plans have to change.
It was previously reported that LA Knight was pulled from SmackDown last week due to a positive COVID-19 test. There is a lot more to this reported story, because it also supposedly nixed even larger plans.
It was reported that LA Knight was supposed to go out and help John Cena last week on SmackDown, but he was pulled just before show. We can confirm that not all of those plans that went down needed to be changed last week.
Ringside News reached out to confirm those plans, and we were told by a tenured member of the WWE creative team that, “AJ Styles was set up for this stretcher angle even before LA Knight had COVID.”
It was previously reported that LA Knight is scheduled to be at WWE SmackDown this week. His storyline will continue as planned, but it’s also important to note that his positive COVID-19 test wasn’t the cause of AJ Styles taking that brutal backstage beatdown last week.
We’ll have to see how things pan out for WWE’s blue brand this week. Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News, and make sure you don’t miss any headlines by staying up to date with our results section.
