AEW is going to Seattle for their WrestleDream event this Sunday. Bryan Danielson was a bit banged up prior to the event, but it seems that he is ready to go in his dream match against Zack Sabre Jr.

Bryan Danielson sustained a broken arm during AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event on June 25th in a match against Kazuchika Okada. He remained out of action until September 3 when he made his comeback in a strap match against Ricky Starks.

Since his return, Bryan Danielson has participated in a few matches, including one tag team contest and two gimmick matches. However, his first traditional singles match since his return will take place at AEW WrestleDream, where he will face Zack Sabre Jr.

While speaking to Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Bryan Danielson said he “had to do more violent gimmick matches because it made it easier for him to protect his arm.” That being said, he is “fully cleared” before AEW WrestleDream.

“Our doctors would still not like me to do certain things, but from like two weeks ago when I had the tag match the strength in my hand is coming back way faster than they thought it would, the mobility and all that stuff. I still have to be cautious probably for the next year or so. They put a steel rod in my arm. One of the things they said is that it actually makes it more likely to break not where it broke before, but where the end of the rod is. It’s like a fulcrum for the bone to bend against.”

AEW has a lot of things going on, and Bryan Danielson is obviously a part of those plans. Hopefully, he can stay uninjured, because the last thing AEW needs is to lose another huge name right now.

Ringside News will also have full coverage of AEW WrestleDream, Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision, including entire play-by-play results in our AEW results section.
