AEW has many stars on their roster, each with their own stories. It appears that one of those stars’ narratives may be a bit hazy. Rush hasn’t been seen on AEW television in a while, as he hasn’t competed for the company since May. He’s not injured, because he’s wrestled in Mexico, but his status with Tony Khan’s company is a bit of a mystery right now.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Rush hasn’t been seen since he had a visa issue. It’s unknown at this point what is going on with him, but he has certainly been absent from television.
“He was talking to Preston Vance in some vignettes, and then, you know whatever. He says he’s fine. I heard that they couldn’t use him. Whatever. The original story of why they couldn’t use him because of the visa issues was because his daughter was born, but that was months ago. I was told that until he is cleared they can’t use him. I don’t know when that ends. They did do a bunch of vignettes when he went to TripleMania in Mexico City.”
Only time will tell when Rush returns to AEW, but his absence is very interesting. This is most likely not what AEW had planned when they inked a deal with the promising talent either. Hopefully, his in-ring hiatus with AEW will come to an end very soon.
Ringside News will also have full coverage of AEW WrestleDream, Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision, including entire play-by-play results in our AEW results section.
