AEW saw CM Punk’s sudden departure when he was fired from the company over an incident that occurred backstage at AEW All In London. Jack Perry has still not returned after that incident, but Punk won’t be back. It appears that some people in the company will miss him.

Ricky Starks jumped on social media to declare himself the face of AEW and the face of AEW’s Saturday program, Collision. Of course, that Collision show was initially built around the Second City Savior.

When a fan inquired about the former FTW Champion’s sentiments toward CM Punk, he promptly replied by affirming that the controversial Second City Saint consistently treated The Absolute One with respect. This fan asked, “Do you miss Phil,” and it seems that Ricky does.

Yeah of course. Great rival in the ring and treated me with respect

CM Punk had a lot of issues backstage while he was with AEW, but it appears that Ricky Starks doesn’t have anything to say about him. He might even miss Punk.

Punk and Starks engaged in multiple contests together during Punk’s brief return to AEW. Starks emerged victorious in their encounter, securing the Owen Hart Memorial tournament victory, while Punk retaliated with a triumph in a match for the “Real World Championship.” The two competitors were scheduled for another showdown at AEW All Out, but that event coincided with Punk’s departure.

Ricky Starks is still on top of his game as he continues his ever-present push in AEW. Only time will tell if he ever crosses paths with CM Punk again, but it appears that there won’t be any issues there.
