AEW knows how to market their company, and they also have some big sellers in their online store. Apparently, Adam Cole and MJF’s team is standing above the rest.

In recent months, All Elite Wrestling has featured a storyline revolving around the emerging friendship between AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole. Those two have made quite a team, and they have titles to prove it.

Their partnership began during the Wildcard Eliminator Tournament, where they secured a chance to challenge FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Right now, Adam Cole and MJF hold the ROH World Tag Team Championship and are set to defend their titles against The Righteous at the WrestleDream event this Sunday. Only time will tell if Adam Cole’s apparent injury will cause a change for those plans.

During the media call for the WrestleKingdom event, Tony Khan discussed MJF’s recent tenure as part of this team, noting that he and Adam Cole have achieved remarkable merchandise sales.

“You don’t have to hate him anymore because ‘he’s our scumbag.’ That’s something that has really been embraced by the fans, and it’s shown because Better Than You Bay-Bay have sold an ungodly amount of merchandise, and they continue to rack up that merch money for us, which is awesome. They get these massive reactions and it’s befitting of a top star and, in this case, a fan favorite.”

We’ll have to see what is next for Adam Cole and MJF as a team. AEW may want to keep their alliance together, just because fan support is translating into big dollars right now.
