Chris Jericho’s contributions as pro wrestler are well documented. He competed in various promotions all around the world for three decades and has been a part of numerous iconic segments in WWE history. Now it appears Jericho declared one particular segment on RAW one of the best in the show’s history.
One of the highlights of Chris Jericho’s last run in WWE was certainly his program with Kevin Owens. The two became one of the top attractions for the company back in 2016 and early 2017. The two would split up during the Festival of Friendship segment, where Owens betrayed Chris Jericho in epic “Red Wedding” fashion.
While speaking to the Superstar Crossover podcast, Chris Jericho talked about the aforementioned Festival of Friendship segment. He would declare the segment among the best on Monday Night RAW.
”The Kevin Owens Festival of Friendship was one of the greatest moments in RAW history. I say that completely un-egotistically. I wanted that segment to start off like an ’80s David Lee Roth video and end like the Red Wedding from Game Of Thrones, where you’re just like, ‘No, don’t do it, don’t do it.’ I had to fight for that, I had to fight for it a lot.”
Jericho also isn’t interested in returning to WWE to face Kevin Owens again. Regardless, the segment will forever be considered one of the best segments in the history of WWE, so many will agree with what Chris Jericho said.
