Jey Uso quit the Bloodline, SmackDown, and WWE when he left the company a while ago. Then Cody Rhodes surprised everyone by bringing him to RAW during the Payback pay-per-view. As we wait for what’s next, it appears that WWE is very happy with how thngs are going so far.

Ringside News exclusively reported when WWE started talking about Jey Uso as a singles star. A tenured member of the WWE creative team told us that Jey Uso “has never been discussed as a singles until this summer.”

Jey Uso is an important figure for WWE, and Sean Sapp reports behind Fightful’s paywall that they have seemed very happy with how things have gone so far.

Around the time of SummerSlam when Fightful inquired as to whether or not there had been any plans for Roman Reigns to lose the WWE Universal Championship, several sources also pointed to other members of the Bloodline as important building blocks. Specifically, WWE and those around the Bloodline angle were confident that the angle would launch Jey Uso into singles stardom, and so far, so good.

Fightful was told that Uso moving to WWE Raw was a part of that process and that there are long-term plans for him with the wheels already in motion. Those that we spoke to said that Uso is tentatively planned for a long term, heavily featured role that should carry at least through the next two months, and will be getting a lot of screen time. WWE officials were very happy with the reactions to Uso.

Jey Uso opened up WWE RAW on September 11th, and he cut quite a promo. That wasn’t even the original plan, because Cody Rhodes was originally slotted in to open up the broadcast.

We will have to see how WWE books Jey Uso on RAW, but it appears that they have a plan in place. All roads could lead to WrestleMania, or even the Royal Rumble before that. Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for more.
