WWE has released quite a few Superstars back in 2020 for a multitude of reasons, especially during the pandemic. This included El Ligero, who was part of NXT UK. Now it appears he admitted personal problems led to his departure.

El Ligero’s name was one of several that came out regarding the #SpeakingOut movement, as he was accused of accused of inappropriate conduct. He was ultimately released from the company due to these allegations.

While speaking on Developmentally Speaking, El Ligero opened up about the real-life issues that eventually led to him getting fired. Ligero admitted that he was simply unable to get a grip on his problems.

“I got released in 2020 because of personal problems that I brought upon myself. It was no one else’s fault or anything like that. It’s something that to this day, three years later, I’m still completely accountable for and completely responsible for. It was personal problems that were long embedded in me psychologically that I failed to get a grip of and failed to be responsible for.”
