Eddie Kingston entered AEW like he was there since the beginning, as he walked out to interrupt a Cody Rhodes promo to take The American Nightmare up on a TNT Open Challenge. Eddie Kingston had quite a road after that, and it appears that his time with AEW will have years to come.
Tony Khan gave Eddie Kingston the ROH Television Title, it appears that nod of confidence was also a sign that King isn’t going anywhere any time soon. While Kingston’s contract situation wasn’t publicly reported, it appears that AEW has him locked durin.
During a Q&A with AdFreeShows.com, Eddie Kingston explained that he kept his contract talks on the low-down, but he still inked a new four-year deal. It also seems that he is happy with the deal he reached with Tony Khan.
“If you notice, you haven’t heard anything about me with a contract because I did my sh*t on the low. My thing was coming up, I got four more years. I’m straight. No one needs to know how much, no one needs to know how long. I got my f*cking shit. I got my sh*t and I’m going to be there for a minute because there is nowhere else I want to be.”
We will have to see what happens for Eddie Kingston next. At this point, he has a ton of abilities, and his skills are undeniable. Even though Eddie Kingston’s deal didn’t capture the pro wrestling world’s attention like The Elite, he still reached an agreement to keep his talents with Tony Khan’s company.
Eddie Kingston vs. Katsuyori Shibata is set for WrestleDream with the ROH World Championship and NJPW Strong Openweight Championship on the line. That match could be a banger, and Eddie Kingston will have another huge match under his belt as well.
