Corey Graves first entered WWE as a pro wrestler for FCW and later for NXT. Sadly, his time in the ring was shortened because of concussions, but he obviously found a new place in the company on commentary. Some fans might not realize that Graves is a contemporary of some of the greatest in the business today, including his own brother, who became a huge star in AAA.

Corey Graves’ brother, Sam Adonis, saw that his name was along a list of amazing talent that were starting their journey with WWE in 2011. Some of those people are no longer with the roster, and he posted to tell a bit of his own story.

Sadly, WWE fired Sam Adonis very shortly after they hired Corey Graves. Apparently, a brother tag team was off the table from the beginning for them.

Myself and my brother were both signed to developmental deals in 2011.

He was hired 2 days before I got released!

The world never got to see “The Fabulous Graves Brothers” in action!

What could have been…

That list of 2011 FCW Roster names included Bray Wyatt, Seth Rollins, Big E, Tyler Breeze, Roman Reigns, Jon Moxley, Corey Graves, Juice Robinson, EC3 and so many more. It was really an amazing class of talent, and each person on that list has gone on to have their own careers since then.

We will have to see what’s next for Sam Adonis. He may find his way to WWE eventually, which might be a real treat for fans to hear Corey Graves call one of his brother’s matches, even if they can’t wrestle together.
