Rick Boogs Claims WWE Departure Due to ‘Backstage Political Power Play

Eric Bugenhagen, formerly known as Rick Boogs, recently shared a new gym tour video, briefly touching upon his recent departure from WWE.

In the video, Bugenhagen expressed his belief that his exit from WWE was the result of backstage political maneuvering. He hinted that there are more details to share but emphasized that the right moment for disclosure has not yet arrived.

“It’s been an interesting time in my life with my job in WWE being terminated do to a backstage political power play, at least that’s my opinion of it. But now is not the time to talk about that. I will get into detail about that when the time is right.”

Rick Boogs received his release notice from WWE on September 21. This move followed WWE’s recent decision to release more than 100 employees from their headquarters, sparking concerns about potential talent releases.

While Rick Boogs possesses an array of talents that can electrify a crowd, it seems WWE no longer found a place for his diverse skillset. The future holds uncertainty, with questions lingering about whether he might one day bring his guitar skills to AEW. What is certain, though, is that he is no longer a part of WWE’s roster.
